Now That The Westgate Attack Movie Will Be Shot In South Africa, This What the Kenyan Government Should Do Next!

“Kenya is a beautiful country with a lovely pool of talent. Unfortunately, it is the only country without incentives or rebates to attract filmmakers. That is why many movies about Kenya are made in South Africa. The government is lenient with licenses but the incentives are not there. For example, for $10 million spent making a movie, the South African Government gives back $2 million.”

Richard Harding the producer of the upcoming movie based on the real happenings at Kenya’s West-gate told the Daily Nation.

And that is why the movie will be shot in South Africa.Personally i think the government should take note and tap into these lucrative movie business. It is sad that it will be done in SA.
