Every hawker in Nairobi loathes the Kanjos(City Inspectorate askaris) for how they treat them ruthlessly and contempt toward them. This one woman who was hawking her onions in the CBD(Central Business District) dived into a parked matatu to avoid getting arrested by the kanjos who would have treated her like an animal not putting in regard that she might be someone’s wife or mother to children who are looking up to her for food and shelter and whatnot.
The saddest thing about it all is that Kanjos won’t stop intimidating the hawkers. Watch the sad video below.
