The glitzy world of African reality royalty has imploded in spectacular fashion after Ghanaian singer Fantana launched a scorched-earth attack on Bongo Flava superstar Diamond Platnumz.
The “So What” hitmaker did not hold back after Diamond used his headline concert in Lagos, Nigeria, to taunt her in front of thousands of fans.
During a “Playboy” segment of his show, Diamond asked the crowd who considered him a lady-killer, before cheekily shouting: “Who said Fantana?”

The public name-drop triggered a furious response from the Accra-based star, who took to Instagram to label Diamond’s personal life a “sham” and his marriage a “social media stunt.”
“If you’re so happy in your fake marriage, why are you mentioning me on stage?” Fantana fired off in a series of scathing posts.
“Why is my name always in your mouth? Please let my name rest, @diamondplatnumz.”

The Ghanaian beauty, who shared a famously steamy—and controversial—connection with Diamond on the Netflix hit Young, Famous & African, went on to mock the singer’s commitment to fellow star Zuchu.
“Leave me alone and face that fake marriage that you are using for social media, with that fake small, cheap, invisible ring,” she wrote. “You are so OBSESSED with me! You will know more of me if you keep playing!”

The bad blood follows a bombshell confession from Diamond earlier this year, where he admitted to “playing a character” for reality TV.
In August 2025, the Tanzanian singer revealed he had deliberately lied to Fantana during filming, claiming he was single while he was actually in a committed relationship with Zuchu back home.
“I was after someone. How could I say I have a girlfriend? I had to lie that Zuchu was just my artiste,” he admitted on a podcast, dismissing his intimate moments with Fantana as “something for the moment” designed to boost his “Playboy” persona.

While Diamond has attempted to frame his behavior as a “scripted” entertainment move, Fantana clearly isn’t in on the joke.
Her outburst suggests that the “undeniable chemistry” seen by millions on Netflix has soured into a bitter feud.
For Fantana, the Lagos stunt was the final straw, proving that even a continent away, Diamond cannot seem to move on.

As the Simba of East African music continues his tour, fans are left wondering if his “Playboy” antics are finally catching up with him—or if this is just another chapter in the most dramatic love triangle in African showbiz.
