Kenyan actress and influencer Trisha Khalid has sparked a frenzy online after sharing a hilarious—but terrifying—confession about her experience with Luo men, boldly claiming that any woman who hasn’t dated one simply doesn’t know the meaning of true suffering!

In a short, explosive clip shared by fellow influencer Joyce Gituro on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Trisha delivered a dramatic and uncompromising verdict on the famously charming and expressive men from the Luo community.

Known across Kenya for their warm hearts, romantic gestures, and an equally strong reputation for leaving a trail of broken hearts, Luo men are apparently in a league of their own when it comes to emotional turmoil.

Trisha minced no words, warning women that their dating résumés are incomplete until they’ve navigated the treacherous waters of a relationship with a Luo gentleman.

“Kama kwa CV yako hujawai ku-indicate ushawai date a Luo man, usiwahi sema you have been through a lot, you have not,” she asserted—meaning, if your CV doesn’t state you’ve dated a Luo man, don’t dare claim you’ve been through a lot!

She insisted that those who haven’t taken the plunge have no concept of what “a lot” truly entails in matters of the heart.

But the star’s warning went from playful to frighteningly graphic as she advised women to brace themselves: “Tulia hapo mama, tulia wakupange. Tulia wakuvunje mpaka figo, pua, mdomo.” (Calm down there, mama, let them break you down… until they break your kidney, nose, and mouth.)

The influencer even joked that surviving a relationship with a Luo man should be formally recognized as a high-level survival skill!

“I don’t know why they haven’t included that in a thousand ways to die,” she quipped, likening the emotional fallout to a near-death experience.

Trisha’s strong sentiments underscore the popular belief that while Luo men can be the most passionate partners, they are definitely not for the faint-hearted.

She passionately urged women whose relationship woes pale in comparison to those inflicted by a Luo man to simply “sit still” and avoid comparing their experiences to this ultimate romantic trial.

The controversial clip has naturally exploded across social media, with women sharing their own dramatic “Luo Man” stories and debating whether their famed charisma is truly worth the emotional high stakes.
