Gospel singer Justina Syokau has opened up about her love life once again, boldly declaring that she is single by choice — because most of the men approaching her are offering the wrong things.
In a candid chat with comedian Oga Obinna, the Twendi Twendi hitmaker said far too many men proudly parade their “bedroom strength” instead of showing the responsibility, stability and seriousness she expects from a partner.
“Men I meet keep telling me, ‘sina pesa lakini niko na nguvu za kitanda.’ Tutakula nguvu ya kitanda?” she asked, unimpressed. “Approach me with something meaningful. That other angle — hapana.”
Syokau insisted she is more than ready for marriage and described herself as a devoted, hardworking woman who would go all out for the right man.
“I am wife material, and a very good one,” she told Obinna. “I sweep, I clean, I take care of my man. I would do anything for him. But yes, I am still single.”
Her comments follow days of online buzz after she publicly expressed interest in US-based Kamba businessman Abedinecho Katue.
In an earlier interview with Nicholas Kioko on November 22, Syokau revealed she has her eyes on the Kamba millionaire — and she’s not shy about it.
“I am single, and he is single, so we can mingle,” she said with a playful smile. She praised his confidence, fashion sense and warm personality, joking that his financial muscle didn’t hurt either.
“I like him even more because he has dollars,” she added. “Abed Katue, I know you can see me. Dollars are available.”
Syokau made it clear that while she’s open to love, she will not entertain men whose only “strength” is physical attraction. To her, responsibility, character and the ability to provide still matter in building a lasting relationship.
She says she’ll wait for the right partner — one who brings more than sweet words and late-night promises.
