Gen Z’s fearlessness is inspired by single mothers – Akothee

Kenyan musician and businesswoman Esther Akoth aka Akothee has penned a powerful message of admiration and support for the Gen Z protesters, crediting their fearlessness to being raised by single mothers.

Through her Instagram account, she wrote a heartfelt message expressing her admiration for the courage displayed by the young protesters.

“Don’t stigmatize children, children raised by single mothers are all more responsible than the marriage you glorify,” she began.

“Generation Z may have been raised by single mothers as you might think and this is why they are fearless. They have witnessed their mothers being thrown out of their maternal homes, left to live or die.”

Akothee went on to urge President Ruto not to pass the financial bill without negotiations between the two sides.

“There’s no need to play hardball. I’m warning you – they have nothing to lose. They have everything to lose. The pain they went through growing up is enough to throw them on the streets. Do not touch the children of single mothers,” she wrote.

The musician also emphasized the importance of understanding and compassion, appealing to parents who may have been raised with a male parent.

“It may be true that you have raised your children with a male parent now, but I urge you to show understanding and compassion.”

Akothee’s message has resonated with many, including other celebrities who have praised Gen Z’s bravery in leading the protest against the financial bill.

The protest is set to resume tomorrow, with many expecting a strong turnout from the young protesters who have been at the forefront of the movement.

As the situation continues to unfold, Esther Akothee’s words serve as a powerful reminder of the impact that single mothers can have on their children’s lives and character.
