Huddah Monroe has heaped praise on William Ruto five months after she withdrew his support for the president amid heavy taxation.

In a surprise move, Huddah urged Kenyans to give Ruto a chance to redeem himself following the sudden drop in the dollar against the shilling.

The Kenyan shilling as of today February 19, 2024, trades at 141 against US dollar from a high of 160 just a week ago.

“Good morning beautiful people. I wanna thank God for life. And our President for whatever he did! This dollar rate is making me scream!!! I love you Mr Prezzo may the Lord take him to Sh90/ one dollar. Sometimes let’s celebrate the small wins. We can’t always be complaining and expect change to happen. Let’s give Mr R the chance to redeem himself. From 167 TO 148 isn’t a joke on forex. It makes a huge difference!” Huddah wrote on Instagram Story.

Huddah withdrew her support for Ruto in September 2023 just days after fuel prices in Kenya reached historic high – with a litre of petrol in the capital Nairobi retailing at Ksh211.64, while diesel cost Ksh200.99 and kerosene Ksh202.61.

Ruto’s administrations has also proposed a plethora of punitive taxes and already implemented some that are hitting Kenyans hard.

In a series of Insta stories, Huddah unapologetically ranked Ruto as the worst president Kenya has ever had, even suggesting that the worst was yet to come.

ā€œRuto will be the worst president Kenya has ever seen,ā€ she wrote amid uproar over the rising cost of fuel and food items.

The socialite further suggested that Kenyans should never make the mistake of elected the son of a poor man as president.

ā€œLesson learnt, never give the son of a poor man the presidential seat.ā€

Huddah added that Ruto has taken Kenya back to 30 years, adding that the worst is yet to come.

ā€œKenya is going back 30 years… The worst is yet to come,ā€ she noted.

Huddah Monroe used to be a staunch supporter of William Ruto even before the August 9, 2022, general election.

She often insulted opposition leader Raila Odinga while painting Ruto as a saint and savour.
