DJ Fatxo has revealed that his greatest battle isn’t with the trolls he faced over Jeff Mwathi’s mysterious death but a harrowing fight for his mother’s life.

The popular Kikuyu singer—real name Lawrence Njuguna—has sent shockwaves through his fanbase after sharing a soul-crushing video of his mother’s declining health.

In a post shared on Thursday, March 19, 2026, the ‘Ndi Mang’a’ hitmaker is seen in a rare, intimate moment, desperately trying to bring a “flicker of joy” to a woman visibly ravaged by a mystery ailment.

The footage shows Fatxo’s mother sitting in a raised chair, appearing visibly frail and weakened by the progression of an undisclosed illness she has been battling in private.

In the tear-jerking clip, Fatxo approaches his mother with a vibrant bouquet of flowers, leaning in to share heartfelt words of hope.

Despite her exhaustion, his mother is seen softly whispering reassuring words back to her son, her face lighting up with a brief, uplifting smile that seemingly broke the internet’s heart.

However, the caption accompanying the video painted a far more sinister picture of the family’s reality.

“The battles we fight silently🥺🥺😢😢,” Fatxo wrote in a post punctuated by heartbreak emojis.

“May the good Lord heal you, mum💔😢😢😢.”

The singer reflected on the silent struggles many endure behind closed doors, hinting that his family has been living through a medical nightmare while the world watched his every move on social media.

The family crisis comes at a time when Fatxo appears to be seeking a total spiritual overhaul.

In a separate, disorienting revelation, the singer admitted that the weight of his mother’s illness and years of malicious online backlash recently drove him to seek a miracle in the heart of Nairobi.

Speaking to his followers, Fatxo described a bewildering experience attending gospel minister Sarah K’s sermons at Nairobi Cinema.

The star confessed he was so distraught that he insisted on travelling into the city centre alone—something he hasn’t done since 2019.

“I was confused because I didn’t even remember where Nairobi Cinema was,” he admitted, describing a harrowing walk through the streets without his usual security detail.

“The last time I saw people queuing in Nairobi was years ago… I didn’t expect people to line up for a sermon.”

For Fatxo, the service was a last resort for a son who has run out of options. As he balances his high-profile career with his mother’s silent battle, the Mugithi star is making it clear: he is no longer fighting for clout, he is fighting for a divine intervention.
