He is the self-proclaimed President of Comedy Africa who has traded punchlines for political activism, but Eric Omondi has found himself at the centre of a very different kind of campaign—a battle for his heart.
A brazen woman has sent shockwaves through the Kenyan digital landscape after sharing a viral video on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, in which she openly auditions to be the comedian’s second wife.
The mystery suitor, who identifies as the Woman Representative for Bunge la Mwananchi, made the sensational plea after observing that the 44-year-old philanthropist currently only has one woman in his life.
In the footage, which Omondi himself shared with a string of laughing emojis, the woman makes no secret of her “unconditional support” for his rumoured political run in Lang’ata.
“Eric Omondi, I want to tell you, I see you have one wife. I want to be your wife. I want to support you in Lang’ata,” she declared.
“I also desire to have Eric Omondi’s child—a child whose brain is sharp.”

The woman even suggested that their union would be a “great idea” for the nation, promising that as his “First Lady,” they would brainstorm ways to help the citizens together.
The proposal didn’t sit well with Lynne Njihia, the 24-year-old model who has shared a high-profile, “on-again, off-again” relationship with Omondi for years.
Despite the pair officially announcing their breakup in April 2025, citing Omondi’s “soul-crushing” work schedule, Lynne was quick to mark her territory.
Dismissing the video as “AI” (Artificial Intelligence), she issued a blistering ultimatum to any would-be rivals.
“First Lady ni mmoja, First daughter ni mmoja pia (There is only one First Lady and one First Daughter) unless I say otherwise! Eric Omondis are many in Kenya—she should look for her own!” Lynne fired back on Instagram.

Lynne’s “territorial” response has only added fuel to the fire that the pair are secretly back together.
Just last week, Lynne pulled out all the stops to host a lavish 44th birthday party for the comedian at a luxury Nairobi restaurant, where they were seen sharing playful moments and serving food together.
The co-parents also recently returned from a family trip to the lakeside city of Kisumu—the first for their daughter, Princess Kyla.
While Omondi’s demanding schedule as a political activist previously “dusted” their romance, it appears the “First Lady of Lang’ata” slot is currently occupied.
For now, any aspiring second wives might have to take Lynne’s advice and look for a different Eric.
