3 wives, one roof! Inside Peter Salasya’s bizarre polygamy dream for his family

He is the self-proclaimed “Bachelor King” of the National Assembly, but Peter Salasya is finally ready to trade his single status for a domestic arrangement that would make even the most seasoned polygamist do a double-take.

The eccentric Mumias East MP has revealed his “grand vision” for a family empire that spans borders, revealing he is currently working with a “matchmaker” from Madagascar to find a bride from the island nation.

Salasya, who has remained single since his election in 2022, told followers on Tuesday, March 11, 2026, that his desire for multiple wives is not just a whim—it is a cultural mandate of his Wanga Kingdom heritage.

The outspoken legislator revealed that his international search for love has led him to the shores of Madagascar, thanks to a close friend who has promised to “connect” him with a partner.

“The next [friend] is from Madagascar, and he has promised me he will give me a wife from his country,” a jubilant Salasya shared.

“They are Bantus, they speak the Malagasy language like mixed Swahili because I am a polygamous man, naturally from the Wanga kingdom.”

The MP noted that he intends to start marrying his harem “immediately” once he settles into his new life, adding that he even has a doctor friend from Garissa assisting him in his quest for the perfect partners.

Perhaps most bizarre is the MP’s architectural approach to marriage. Salasya has spent the last year constructing a massive three-storey concrete mansion in his constituency, which he admits has “drained his finances.”

Rather than building separate homes for his future spouses—as is traditional in many polygamous setups—Salasya plans a vertical living arrangement to save money and keep the family “under one roof.”

The MP’s rush to fill his mansion comes after years of romantic “dry spells” and public rejection. Salasya has frequently recounted the “painful” moment his girlfriend dumped him in 2017 after his first parliamentary bid ended in a humiliating defeat of just 254 votes.

At the time, his former flame reportedly told him to “go and play with his age-mates” as he couldn’t sustain her lifestyle.

Now, with a parliamentary salary and a three-storey “love nest” nearing completion, the MP believes he is finally “maintainable.”

Whether the “Daughters of Madagascar” are ready for life in a three-storey vertical harem in Mumias, however, remains to be seen.
