The “lavish” online world of TikTok personality Ruhman Abubakar has been shattered following a high-stakes raid by the DCI Anti-Narcotics Unit (ANU) in Mombasa.
In an official statement released, the DCI confirmed the arrest of Abubakar alongside an associate, Amir Latif, at a house in Maweni Estate, Nyali.
During the targeted operation, detectives recovered 250 grammes of heroin, discovered in three separate sachets.
While the narcotics recovery is significant, the DCI’s findings have taken an even more sinister turn.
Preliminary investigations now link the pair to an organized child trafficking ring operating across the major hubs of Mombasa, Malindi, and Nairobi.
According to the DCI, the operation was triggered by “credible intelligence” regarding individuals implicated in both drug and child trafficking.
“Preliminary investigations reveal that these individuals are not only traffickers of narcotics but are also entangled in child trafficking activities across Mombasa, Malindi and Nairobi,” the DCI stated.
