Jeremy Kiuna, son of JCC founders Kathy and the late Bishop Allan Kiuna, has opened up about the toughest heartbreak of his life in 2022.

The 24-year-old admits he backslid badly, turning to drinking and weird stuff to cope with the mental toll of his split from former child star Joy Ohon.

The raw confession comes just months after Jeremy found love again and got engaged to his new fiancée, Stephanie Githinji.

In a surprisingly candid podcast interview alongside his mother, Kathy Kiuna, and his sisters, Jeremy pulled back the curtain on a “dark spiral”.

While the pair were once the darlings of social media—with Jeremy even publicly calling the Machachari star his “wife to be”—the end of their romance sent him into a tailspin of “wilding” and spiritual crisis.

“I went through the toughest heartbreak of my life,” Jeremy confessed.

“I was like, ‘This is the worst feeling ever.’ I backslid like very, very badly,” he added.

The heartbreak was so severe that Jeremy admitted he abandoned his religious upbringing, seeking solace in a party lifestyle that he says left him in a dangerous mental state.

“I jumped into drinking friends, weird stuff,” he shared with raw honesty.

“I was not in the right mental space. I told mum, ‘I am wilding,’ and that was it.”

Despite his public “fall from grace,” Jeremy revealed that his late father, Bishop Allan Kiuna, remained his biggest supporter.

Rather than condemnation, the Bishop offered a shoulder to cry on.

“The crazy thing about Paps was that he always believed in me. He was like, ‘If you want someone to talk to, I am here.'”

The revelation comes at a poignant time for the young Kiuna. Having survived the “worst feeling ever” in 2022, Jeremy has since undergone a massive spiritual and personal transformation.

In 2024, he says he reached a “different level of commitment” to his faith, leaving his “drinking friends” behind.

This new chapter has been cemented by his recent engagement to Stephanie Githinji, proving that there is indeed life after a “messy” celebrity breakup.

Kathy Kiuna, known as the “Iron Lady” of the pulpit, sat by her son’s side as he recounted his “wild” days, a testament to the family’s journey toward healing following the death of the Bishop in 2024.

For Jeremy, the message to his followers is clear: heartbreak can break you, but it doesn’t have to define you.

With a wedding on the horizon and his “backsliding” days in the rearview mirror, the youngest Kiuna is finally ready to step into his own as a man of faith.
