Stivo Simple Boy has opted to manage himself after Men In Business (MIB) terminated his contract following a row over his money.
On Monday, while receiving financial support from the comedian Mulamwah, Stivo noted that he will now represent himself with the help of his wife and three of his friends.
“Sai mimi nimeamua kuwa meneja kivyangu nikiwa na mke wangu na rafiki zangu watatu pamoja na wakenya wote kwa jumla. Kama mtu anataka kunisupport wakuje kwangu mimi binafsi,” Stivo said.
Stivo further claimed that his former manager was not helping him in his career and used the opportunity to undermine him.
“Meneja hafanyi kazi nzuri, ukiangalia kwanza Instagram hapost msanii wake anapost msanii mwingine na kumpromote.”
He also added that what is going on is not a way to seek fame but it is a real situation as he has not done any show since January.
“First of all, I haven’t done a show since January. I don’t need a lot of money to do a show. 20,000 or 30,000 is enough for me.”
Most of the Kenyans and fellow artistes in the wide entertainment industry in the country have come out with one voice and defended the musician who many felt was weak and the manager was harassing him.
Despite the rumors of Stivo’s abuse spreading on the internet, the company that was managing him appeared in a phone interview with Radio Jambo and explained the reasons for breaking their contract with him.
“Following wrong and illegal accusations, and many lies that have been given that have damaged the reputation of the company, that is why the whole team has decided to withdraw from the contract. ,” the MIB representative said.
The company also denied claims it controlled and operated Stivo Simple Boy’s social media and financial accounts.
“You want to run a bank account owned by someone else? The bank uses fingerprints, will I use it to come to his bank account even though I don’t have his fingerprints? He has his own accounts and he himself owns and operates them.”
