DJ Joe Mfalme is a teetotaler even though he earns a living from places that sell alcohol.
In an exclusive interview with a YouTube blogger, Mfalme recounted how he abused alcohol during his college days, which made him hate the use of any kind of stimulants.
Despite being a DJ who plays in many places that sell alcohol such as restaurants and clubs, the mix master said he has never tasted any alcohol in his life as a DJ.
“I don’t drink alcohol at all and it’s a personal decision for me. I tried and failed. We were in the dormitory for a while and I was influenced by my peers. We went to drink the alcohol and I fell asleep on the toilet. Yes, the first day and from that day I told myself I can’t taste alcohol at all,” DJ Joe Mfalme said.
He said that he only likes water and soda, something he said has earned him the respect of his employers who love him because they know they are dealing with someone who is sober and not influenced by alcohol.
Mflame said that apart from working in clubs, he is still a student who is learning to become a pilot, which has been his childhood dream.
“During my time when I’m not working, I’m in class doing pilot training here at Wilson. This is like my second month. Since childhood I wanted to join the army as a fighter pilot, but joining that unit was expensive for my family,” Mflame said.
