The self-proclaimed chairman of the Union of Gospel Musicians in Kenya, Alex Apoko aka Ringtone, has finally come forward to talk about the feud with fellow singer Bahati.

Ringtone, who earlier seemed to be very close to Bahati and also attended almost all his events, has not been seen much with the singer in recent days.

He did not attend the baby shower event organized for Diana Marua earlier this month, contrary to the expectations of many.

The gospel singer has now admitted that he did not receive any invitation from Diana to attend the event.

“Diana ndiye alikuwa anaalika wageni wa kuhudhuria Baby Shower. Alikuwa anaalika wamama, wasichana na wanaume walio na umama. Waliona ni kama mimi sina umama. Bahati aliniambia nisiende kwa hiyo hafla wataniita wakati mtoto atazaliwa nipeleke zawadi,” Ringtone said in an interview with Eve Mungai.

The musician further indicated that he is waiting for Diana Marua’s third child to be born in order to give her a gift.

He promised Bahati and Diana’s unborn daughter many expensive gifts including a bed, dolls and a bicycle.

“Nitawasaidia. Sio wao wa kwanza, nasaidia watu wengu hapa chini ya maji na huwa siongei. Sipendi kujionyesha,” he said.
