Diamond Platnumz beat off fierce competition from Nigerian music heavyweights like Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid and others to emerge top on YouTube’s list of most streamed artistes in Africa.
Music videos by the Tanzanian crooner are the most watched on YouTube platform in the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa.
Diamond has so far accumulated over 1.92 billion views since joining the video streaming platform in 2011.
Diamond leads in the list of most watched music videos in Africa followed closely by several Nigerian musicians who dominated the list.
Naija artistes occupied 7 out of the 10 slots sampled. Apart from Diamond, other musicians who made the cut include Fally Ipupa and Rayvanny.
