DP William Ruto is the happiest man today as the Supreme Court of Kenya upheld the election of President Uhuru Kenyatta.

On Sunday during a church service in Kiambu, Ruto said,

‘We are confident that by God’s grace the country will move forward. We want to unite the people of Kenya. We need to stand together to resist anarchy, violence and ethnic division.’

Well looks like the prayer has been answered.

Ruto shared his remarks after the announcement via his twitter account:

HALLELUYAH!

GLORY TO GOD IN HEAVEN. HE HAS REMEMBERED OUR NATION,GIVEN US HOPE & FUTURE. WAKENYA JAMENI MUBARIKIWE MPAKA MSHANGAE TOGETHER.

Last month,William Ruto challenged Raila Odinga to face President Uhuru Kenyatta just to ensure that the country moves forward.

“As you can see these fellow wants to avoid the poll citing excuses. We want to ask them, let them be honorable and face President Kenyatta on the ballot or they should not have an alternative of making our country ungovernable because that’s not acceptable,” Ruto warned.

Deputy President William Ruto has also warned that the government will deal decisively with people who cause violence in the country.

“This is not a country of violence. We appeal to Kenyans to resist violence. We will deal with those who are causing chaos and destroying properties of others. I appeal to all Kenyans to resist violence and incitement,” Ruto said.
