Zari walks out of Kenya with Ksh14.4 million after scooping Samsung endorsement deal

Zari Hassan landed in Kenya on January 16, 2024, and went on to sign a brand ambassadorial partnership deal with Samsung Kenya.

The South Africa-based Ugandan socialite was unveiled as Samsung Electronics East Africa (SEEA) Icon Influencer, representing Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Somalia, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

The announcement came on Thursday, January 18, solidifying her status as a major influencer with 11.9 million Instagram followers and 2.1 million on TikTok.

Zari inked an 18-month partnership deal with the South Korean electronics giant.

As the brand ambassador, her responsibilities include promoting brand awareness, fostering a positive brand image, and engaging with the target audience to enhance Samsung’s overall perception and visibility within the SEEA markets, positioning the brand as a luxury choice.

The 43-year-old mother of five was paid a whopping Ksh14.4 million her 18-month partnership with Samsung.

During the contract period, Zari will exclusivity associate herself solely with Samsung products.

The deal structure further suggests an upfront payment of Ksh800,000 with a monthly payment subject to her influencing performance.
