Willis Raburu, the radio host, TV presenter and the face of 10 over 10 has taken time out from the work; TV and radio to deal with recent pain together with his wife who he adores so very much.
“Over the past few days, my heart has been shattered and torn into several pieces. The pain I have felt has been immeasurable and one that words fail to aptly capture. It has left me with several questions and literally reset my outlook on life.” Willis Raburu said in part.
Willis Raburu took to social media to share the news expressing how heartbroken he has been in the past few days without divulging into the details but he made it clear that he wants to take a break from being a TV presenter and radio host as he plans to reset his outlook on life as he spends more time with his lovely wife, Marya Prude.
“I may not be able to share the full extent of it all but I cannot bear it alone. I am therefore going to be taking a short break from work and my duties on @1010fanpage @citizentvkenya @hothappyhour and @hot96fmkenya to allow for my wife and I to get through the motions.” he continued.
The 10 over 10 TV show has in the recent past been on the receiving end of the backlash from people who have deemed it to be not suitable for TV and wanted it to be off the air, however, that might not be the reason why the Citizen TV presenter decided to take a break from his work.
Willis Raburu’s wife, Marya Prude –who he truly adores, to the moon and back– had a stillbirth. This might be the alleged reason why Willis Raburu has taken time off to be with his adorable wife, Marya.
“I want to say thank you for those in the know who continue to lift my wife and I in prayer and ask that you continue to do so up until the time I will be back on your screens and on your radio! I love you all, you make me who I am.” he added on his social media post.
Willis Raburu has not made it clear when he will be ready to come back to television but he said that he has a great team who will take over from where he left to help him entertain his fans while he is away.
“While I am away several people will be holding fort for me, the shows will go on. I want to thank them in advance for heeding the abrupt call to action.” he wrote on Instagram.
