Deputy President William Ruto given a hero’s welcome in Iten Town

Deputy President yesterday on February 20, 2021, was given a hero’s welcome in Iten Sports grounds in Iten Constituency in Elgeyo Marakwet County.

Deputy President William Samoei Ruto presided over the empowerment of Boda Boda Saccos in the county where over 10,000 residents came out to see him address the wananchi.

William Ruto reportedly arrived in Iten a couple of minutes after 4 pm accompanied by his close allies for a boda boda empowerment program after attending the grand opening of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, Kituro Church, Catholic Diocese of Nakuru in Kabarnet, Baringo County.

He, later on, joined residents for the Holy Mass led by Rt. Rev. Maurice M. Makumba at the aforementioned church.

Ruto later on proceeded for his main event at Iten Sports grounds where his entrance from Iten town was filled with crowds of easily over 10,000 people who came out to see him lining up from the main town up until the sports grounds where he, later on, gave his address.
