Nameless and Wahu have been together for 26 long years, 18 as a married couple,  but he has never released a song dedicated to his wife.

The veteran singer came clean about why he has never dedicated a song for Wahu while speaking recently during the launch of Bien’s solo album ‘Alusa Why are You Topless’.

The question of Nameless not dedicating a song to Wahu came about as Bien dedicated a song ‘Chikwere’ in his new album to his wife Chiki Kuruka.

Speaking at the event, Wahu point out that she was concerned her husband of close to two decades had never thought of doing the same to her.

“My favourite on Bien’s album is the song he wrote for his wife. I was asking myself, why is it that my husband has not written a song dedicated to me, what’s up with that?” Wahu opens up.

In his defense, Nameless dismissed his wife’s claims maintaining that he has written many songs dedicated to her, it’s just that he has never mentioned her directly in the song as Bien did with Chiki.

“Do you know how many songs I have written for my beautiful wife? it’s just that I haven’t said Wahu. Listen, the songs I have done inspired by this girl (Wahu) are very many and I thank her for inspiring me. But she knows I can’t put her name there (on the records), for various artistic reasons. If anything why hasn’t she recorded one dedicated to me as well,” Nameless said.

According to Nameless if there is any song that his wife ever dedicated to him, then they were all distracts naming ‘Kibow Wow’ and ‘Sitishiki’.

The two hit songs by Wahu were released over 10 years ago when the couple were still dating.

The love story of Nameless (David Mathenge) and Wahu (Rosemary Wahu Kagwi) began in the hallowed halls of Nairobi University, where fate brought them together.

Nameless, studying Architecture, and Wahu, pursuing a degree in Mathematics, had no idea that their paths would lead to a love story for the ages.

After eight years of dating, the couple decided to take the plunge, tying the knot on September 10, 2005, in a lavish and private wedding held on the beautiful shores of Lake Naivasha.

Their union was a testament to their love, and little did they know that they were embarking on an incredible journey that would see them become one of Kenya’s most beloved celebrity couples.
