Diamond Platnumz does not own a private jet but he charters executive planes to travel abroad at his own convenience.
Private jets are very expensive to hire but Diamond has been chartering these planes for the longest.
Most recently, Diamond flew on private jet from Dar es Salaam in Tanzania to Kigali, Rwanda to attend the Trace music award.
Diamond’s children Princess Tiffah, Nillan, Naseeb Junior, his mother Mama Dangote and lover Zuchu were among those who were in the private jet that the singer flew to Kigali on October 21, 2023.
On October 27, 2023, Diamond flew on a private jet from Dar es Salaam to Nairobi to perform at Tusker Octobafest that was held at Ngong Racecourse.
Ahead of his performance, the Wasafi boss held a press conference where he addressed myriad of issues including his expensive travels on private jets.
Diamond explained that he loves traveling on private jet just so that he can avoid the hassle of buying tickets, queuing in airports and having to keep time with commercial flights which fly at predetermined strict schedules.
“Napenda sana kupaa kwa kutumia ndege za kibnafsi kwa maana zinauwezo wa kusafiri wakati wowote ule ukilikanisha na ndege za kawaida ambazo lazima ukate tikiti na pia zina wakati wao wa kusafiri,” Diamond said.
Diamond pointed out that private jets give him a good time to travel to relax and party with his friends because the interior design is different from regular planes.
“Mimi ni msanii mkubwa ndio maana safari zangu zimekuwa mingi nisipotumia ndege ya kibnafsi nitakosa kuhudhuria nyinginezo,rubani wa ndege hizi pia yuko tayari kunisafirisha kwa wakati wowote iwe usiku au mchana,” Diamond explained.
