In February this year, Bahati’s record label EMB was hit by a major scandal that saw mass exodus of musicians who were signed to the record label.
The likes of Mr Seed, Weezdom, David Wonder and several others who worked behind the scene quit EMB records citing various reasons.
Speaking during an interview with Mzazi Willy M Tuva in February, Weezdom said Bahati’s wife Diana Marua was the reason he was forced to quit EMB.
“I respect Bahati a lot because he is the one who brought up my music career. I consider him my brother but there were some changes which started emerging and the changes involved someone called Diana Marua. She (Marua) made sure I exited the record. She made Bahati change on me professionally and as a brother and since I was just starting as an artist, I decided to send myself out there so God can open my paths as well,” said Weezdom.
In an expected move in April 2019, Weezdom reconciled with his music mentor Bahati and went back to the singer’s label EMB records.
Bahati and Weezdom have now dropped their first song dubbed ‘Block’ after reconciling their differences. Speaking on the new song, Bahati said;
“When My Boy @WEEZDOM254 Told Me He wanted to Come Back Home #EMB I told him Bro… LESS TALK MORE MUSIC.”
