Wayne Rooney finds himself without the support of his pregnant wife following Friday drink-driving charge

Wayne Rooney was arrested and charged with drink-driving last Friday September 8th after he was stopped behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Beetle while in company of a party girl Laura Simpson.

The Everton star was arrested after 2am while driving the VW owned by Laura Simpson whom he had been partying with the whole night.

Rooney’s pregnant wife Coleen Rooney, who was away on holiday in Spain at the time of the incident, has given her hubby the cold shoulder following Friday drink-driving charge.

Coleen refused to take their three boys, Kai, Klay and Kit to watch their father play for Everton against Tottenham at Goodison Park.

Rooney however pleaded his innocence of not doing anything with party girl Laura Simpson and told his wife that he will do anything to keep the family together.

Laura admitted to The Sun that they were driving back to her house when they were stopped by police. She denied kissing the Everton striker as had earlier reported.

Rooney, due in court on September 18, has vowed to cut down on nights out if Coleen gives him another chance.
