Sauti Sol and their music are absolutely timeless and any day you get to listen to their song that they might have released 5 years ago, it always sounds as if it was released a fortnight ago.
Sauti Sol has managed to turn almost everything they have ever done into a masterpiece and making history in the music scene has since become a routine for the afro-pop group.
Currently riding high on their release ‘Suzanna’ that even saw Senator James Orengo jamming and dancing to it, Sauti Sol seems to be on something bigger, an album and out of the album which is expected to go platinum in a couple of weeks, there’s a song that is believed is off the project dubbed ‘Disco Matanga(Yambakhana)’.
The ‘Disco Matanga’ record made history thrice; firstly, it was the first song ever in Sauti Sol’s catalog that saw the group sing the complete song in Luhya, secondly, it is the only song that has Swahili lyrics on it sung by a singer who comes from a country that does not speak and/or understand the Swahili language and thirdly, it is a soundtrack of the first-ever African hit series, Queen Sono.

See, Sauti Sol is really full of surprises and making history in the music industry, now not only in Kenya but across the region with an aim of also taking over the international music scene as well.
Sauti Sol went on to perform the ‘Disco Matanga(Yambakhana)’ song that features Sho Madjozi and Black Motion live at the Express Show.
This performance comes after they performed their acapella version of ‘Suzanna’ in South Africa as well.
