‘Wangeci Shot Herself While Taking Selfies with A Gun’ Former Deloitte Executive Lawyer Claims

Richard Alden, Former Deloitte executive ,CEO of Wananchi Group who own Cable and Satelite TV operator and Internet Service Provider Zuku is being held in Kenya over the death of a woman at his house said she shot herself while taking a ‘selfie’.

Richard Alden, took Grace Wangeci, to a hospital on Saturday with a gunshot wound.

But unfortunately Miss Wangeci was pronounced dead on arrival.

Mr Richard Alden  is being held by the authorities in Nairobi but his lawyer revealed his side of the story yesterday.

Lawyer Evans Monari said the victim was helping Mr Alden move house. He said: “From what I hear, she was taking pictures, ‘selfies’, with a gun and it went off.

“Richard Alden says he is not responsible. The girl shot herself by accident.” “Wangeci shot herself while taking selfies with a gun, claims the British businessman. The police are investigating a murder case.

Mr Alden’s wife was abroad at the time of the incident but has since returned to Kenya. He will appear in court again on Friday.
