Wangechi is back like she never left only this time she bounced back with one of the best records she’s ever put out in her music career with the blessings of Rong Rende.
Wangechi took a music hiatus for reasons best known to her but now that she’s back, we, her fans, can’t keep calm, especially if you know how talented she is and how impactful she is in the music industry and how much we missed her in the rap game.
The talented rapper who answered Scar Mkadinali calling her out for a feature a few years ago finally got to work with the rapper on the ‘Sana Sana’ hit record and as fate would have it, stars aligned once again and she got to work with Wakadinali on her recent offering.
Her latest offering dubbed ‘Romantic Rivals’ sees all members of Wakadinali which comprise Sewersydaa, Scar, and Domani Munga come together for this great drill jam that cannot be assumed.
In this latest song, Wangechi proves to herself and to her fans and doubters that she was born to be a rapper who cannot be overlooked at all.
Wangechi’s 3-year-long hiatus
When she left the game 3 years ago, drill music wasn’t as huge as it is in the current music space in Kenya and worldwide but when she came back, she owned the new genre that’s quickly taking over the Kenyan music scene as if she’s been a part of it for years.
Working with Wakadinali as a clique with Doshman Mwizi on the hook of the record tells us that Wangechi has way more to give than she’s leading on.
Fresh after releasing her first song after three years dubbed ‘Kiki Session 1’ Wangechi followed up the record with ‘Romantic Rivals’ and we’re here for it plus fans cannot ask for anything else from her, at least at the moment.
Listening to Wangechi rap once again after years of being silent in the music industry is something that most of us were longing for and now that she’s finally here once again, we cannot ask for anything else but more records after the other back-to-back.
You have to watch and/or stream ‘Romantic Rivals’ as written and performed by Wangechi and Wakadinali(Domani Munga, Scar Mkadinali, and Sewersydaa) in case you haven’t. The song has been produced by Ares 66 for Big Beatz Afrique.
