Former Churchill Show comedian Paul Ogutu alias ‘Wakimani’ has spoken on the legal suit filed against him by the widow of late comedian Emmanuel Makori aka Ayeiya Poa Poa.
Wakimani and Ayeiya were the best of freinds, the former was behind the wheels during the grisly 2017 accident that killed the former.
Ayeiya’s wife, who was also in the ill-fated car, sued Wakimani for Ksh 21 million compensation blaming the now recovering alcoholic of causing the accident.
“I met her [Ayeiya’s wife] the following day and she served me with a court order indicating that I am supposed to pay 21 million for killing her husband,” Wakimani said in a past interview with Zeddy.
According to the letter, a calculation was drafted that concluded that Ayeiya was earning Ksh300,000 every month and would have retired at the age of 55.
Speaking on the suit in a recent interview with Massawe Japanni on Radio Jambo, Wakimani said;
“The case is in court, it will prejudice it. The case began on Monday and the next hearing is on March 3rd.”
Speaking of his friendship with Ayieya, Wakimani said;
“The person I miss the most is a friend I lost called Ayieya Poa Poa. He was one person whom I could share everything with. Even when I don’t have a boxer, I would talk to him. Nowadays I find that I try to make new friends just to talk.”
The recovering alcoholic also used the radio interview to apologize to anyone he wronged when he was still lousy drunk.

“I fought a lot with people and it was not a good thing. That is one thing I would not like to remember. It has not been easy, it has not been funny. I regret the friends I lost. I always want that chance to reach out to them. I would like them to know that I’m really sorry about what I put them through. I know they did not know what I was going through. Maybe we might have fought over something very minor, but I’m so sorry,” Wakimani said.
