Seems like Wakadinali wanted some smoke with Jua Cali, a Kenyan legendary musician who has been in the game for two decades and also invented a whole entire genre of music, Genge together with Nonini.

Jua Cali who is one of the few respected artistes in the country took to Twitter saying that an artiste who has been in the music scene for the longest time refused to do a Verzuz with him but he declined wanting the money to be right before he jumped on the battle with Jua Cali.

“A few months back I approached one of the OGz in the game(I will not name names) we do a #Verzus” Jua Cali said, “zile excuses nilipata ‘oh we have to get the money right’ ‘oh not sure how people will react’ ‘oh I have to consult with my people”

The tweet went viral in the country and fans became urging Jua Cali to reveal the artiste who let him down and even try to work with another artiste to an extent of throwing artistes names for him to consider.

Now among the names that were suggested was Wakadinali which is an underground hip hop group comprising of SewerSydaa, Scar, and Domani Munga who are on their way up to the mainstream music scene.

Jua Cali’s response to a fan who suggested that he should work with Wakadinali was that he can’t have a Verzuz battle with Wakadinali (who he has worked with them on a song a few years ago) doesn’t have an impressive catalog for him to go back to back with the group.

Wakadinali also responded to this telling Jua Cali it’s never that serious after he allegedly blocked them on Twitter stating that “Old is Old”.

Jua Cali said this without malice or with an intension of starting something from nothing but netizens blew the whole thing out of the water which has seen Jua Cali and Wakadinali trend on Twitter the entire day since morning.
