Wahu: I wanted to leave Nameless after 2 years of marriage

Wahu reveals that marriage is not something to give up on so quickly, insisting that patience is one of the greatest virtues that couples need to have.

The mother of three opened up about her marriage to Nameless revealing that in the early years they did not understand each other at all and she wanted to leave the marriage after only 2 years.

Wahu was talking to comedian Njugush’s wife Celestine Ndinda, she revealed that most of the time in the early years she used to run away from home after falling out with Nameless over something small – until one time she left and went to rent her own house.

“I was even going to look for a house, I was telling myself that I can’t do anything wrong here in Nairobi because I am independent,” Wahu said.

Wahu said that it came to a point where he matured mentally and convinced himself that running away from the solution is not solving it.

Apart from maturing, she said that she thinks that her thinking now and that period are two different times while noting that she no longer has anger outbursts which has made her and her husband’s life easier.

“The difference is, now I have stopped being so angry. Shoes are still left where they are. I’m used to it. I said, even change. We went to counseling and were told that people rarely change. You choose what will stress you and what will make you happy,” Wahu advised.

The two have been together for 25 years now, 17 years being their official marriage in 2004.

In September while celebrating 17 years of marriage, Wahu pointed out that a popular blog in the country predicted that their marriage would not even last 2 years.
