Sam West in October 2022 confirmed that he parted ways with his wife singer Vivian Wambui after months of speculations.
Social media gossip pages were first awash with stories about Vivian and Sam West’s alleged breakup on June 5th 2022.
Unconfirmed reports indicated that Sam and Vivian went their separate ways after moving out of their matrimonial home.
Vivian addressed the separation reports multiple times but refused to confirm nor deny the rumours only adding speculations about it.
In a post on social media, Vivian asked her fans to pray for her saying that she was going through a tough time.
“I am not well. I have been getting support but sometimes I crash. My heart is so heavy . Someone left us and now hates us. I’ve been trying to rebuild but I’ve been wondering why. Please pray for me because I’m still a mother,” she wrote.
Sam West also took to social media and confirmed that he parted ways with Vivian.
In a witty social media post Sam hinted that had he stayed in the relationship longer, he might have ended up dead due to stress.
“I don’t blame Murife, sometimes a man has to run or flee like Joseph. Otherwise he will die,” Sam West wrote.
Fast forward to June 2023, Vivian opened up about her failed marriage while speaking during an interview with Lynn Ngugi.
Vivian said that she was angry because it felt like everything she had built over the years had crumbled which made her battle suicidal thoughts.
What saved her was the decision to sign up for therapy, joined psychology school and spiritual classes which have helped her find her identity and learn how to make herself a better person.
Now that she is a professional counselor, she has volunteered to offer therapy for free to people who are in the entertainment industry because she knows how hard it is to deal with depression and online pressure at the same time.
