King Mswati III of eSwatini (formerly Swaziland) has sparked public uproar on social media after he bought high end Rolls Royce for his wives.
Photos and videos of the swanky British-made luxury cars have been doing rounds on the internet sparking a fierce reactions from all over the world.
The king reportedly purchase 19 Rolls Royce Dawn each worth at least $346,300/Ksh 34 million for his wives and one Rolls Royce Cullian SUV for himself worth at least $325,000/Ksh 32 million.
The king currently has 15 wives and 23 children, as of 2018. A Swazi king’s first two wives are chosen for him by the national councillors.
Photos of the luxury Rolls Royce being transported on trucks from South Africa to eSwatini have widely been shared on social media by tweeps who expressed their disapproval of King Mswati’s extravagance.

King Mswati has demonstrated lack of restraint in spending public money on himself and his family many times. In 2018 got a $13.2 million/1.3 billion private jet as his 50th birthday gift.
The eSwatini king owns two private jets. This comes amid general outcry over his royal extravagance when citizens still languish in abject poverty.
