Uhuru’s message after former Meru governor Peter Munya decided to ditch Nasa and back him

Peter Munya is trending after he quit Nasa after only 8 days after declaring he was endorsing a Raila Odinga presidency. The former Meru Governor joined Nasa after concluding that August 8th election was rigged in favor of Jubilee.

Munya quit Nasa today September 12th, a statement from his PNU Party indicated that he opted to leave Nasa after a thorough consideration with his party members, elders and supporters across the country.

Munya met Uhuru Kenyatta at State House today before the president went to address parliament for official opening of the 12th parliament .

Uhuru issued a statement confirming that the former Meru governor had ditched Nasa and pledged to support his re-election campaign.

“Met with Jubilee-affiliate PNU chairman Peter Munya and other officials at State House. The former Meru Governor stated that after consultations with party loyalists he and PNU would support me in the Oct 17 repeat elections,” Uhuru wrote.
