Trio Mio was issued with death threats by people who accused him of swindling them of money raised through fundraising.

“Trio Mio we will kill you mbona utuibie pesa ya mchango, Tunakuua hatuogopi,” read the threatening message that was shared via a tweet published on May 31.

The tweet by Thee Carbon also included a video of two youthful men who apparently were issuing the threats.

Trio Mio’s mother Irma Sakwa quickly reacted to the threat issued against her son.

Trio Mio in an interview with YouTuber Eve Mungai said he did not know the young men threatening him, adding that whatever they were saying was a lie.

Mio said that he deals all the time with a legitimate business that can be discussed in public, and completely denied knowing the young men, while saying that he is currently taking care of himself.

“I don’t really know how to tell this. I like to shoot real businesses, businesses that you can show up and print. I was even shocked to see this on Twitter and was shocked, but now I will be very careful. If they claim to ambush me, let them ambush me, they will also know that I am bad,” Trio said.

The young rapper said that he did not taken any legal action regarding the threats to their lives.

“No. I love my mother and that’s why I made her my manager. I feel I’m completely safe and that’s why I told my mother, you talk, I won’t even talk,” said Trio Mio.
