If you are a fan of Kasabun’s very own Timmy Tdat you’d be pleased to learn the ‘Pogna Matin’ hitmaker is set to release his extended play (EP) dubbed ‘Bonke’ later on this month.

He named the project Bonke because that was a nickname everyone used to call him back in the day when he was a tout and a garbage collector looking for money to launch his music career back in Kasabun. The project will have six records that predominantly tracking his journey from Bonke to Timmy Tdat.

One of the records off his upcoming EP is dubbed ‘Achika’ that he recently released and fans are currently feeling it everywhere especially in the east African region.

In a nutshell at least according to Timmy Tdat is about all the things you have overcome in life but keeps following you regardless.

“Achika is all about your past catching up with you and you had already let it go. It keeps coming back despite doing everything to forget it.” Timmy Tdat said about his new ‘Achika’ record.

Timmy Tdat had some nice things to say about the record producer Vicky Pon Dis who worked on the ‘Achika’ record saying that he has tremendous respect for his work and that he should get much props for what he is doing for the music industry since he feels like he is underrated.

“Vicky is a talented and free spirited person. I feel like he is underrated. He has done a few of my songs and i respect his work,” Timmy Tdat said.

This is the very first time Timmy Tdat has worked with a Tanzanian video director in Msafiri for Kwetu Studios and he was pleased everything went smoothly shooting for the music video for ‘Achika’.

Timmy Tdat had this to say about choosing a Tanzanian director and shooting in Tanzania, ” I wanted a different feel for this video and i feel like, Msafiri  has delivered. ”
