Timmy Blanco who is also from Kibera proving yet again that Kibera has talents galore when it comes to artistes is regarded to be one of the very few rappers who are bound to take over the mantle of representing Kenya’s rap across the globe in the near future.
What you might have not known about Blanco though is that he was mentored in a way by Kibera representing known mainstream rapper, Octopizzo and a little digging from your end might bring revelation to the light.
Back then, Timmy Blanco was also in a group called Crew Teflon but then he was known as Timmy Tim, not Timmy Blanco.
Octopizzo who hosted a rap cipher featuring Camp Mulla dubbed 254low that featured one of the best rappers in the game back then with Camp Mulla’s Shappaman being among them.
The Kibera rapper saw the potential of the young Timmy Blanco and decided to feature him on the cypher when nobody knew about him.
Though his time was limited and short, Timmy Blanco made a statement on that cypher and through that, whether you’ve watched the cypher or not, solidified his place in the Kenyan rap scene since then and he has never looked back.
