Originally hailing from Githunguri, Kiambu, Brian Wambui Chira is his full name.
An advocate for HIV awareness, Chira himself contracted the virus during a trip to the coast, where a friend unwittingly transmitted it to him before tragically taking his own life.
His infamous run-in with the law involved accusations of defamation against fellow content creator Azziad, including the unauthorized sharing of her personal information on social media.
Having lost his mother to HIV/AIDS when he was just eight, Chira was raised by his grandmother, with little information available about his father.
Discovering his HIV-positive status came as a shock when a friend, under false pretenses of a lunch outing, instead took him to an organization incentivizing HIV testing referrals.
Chira’s altruism extends to caring for his orphaned cousins, who, like him, lost their mother to HIV, ensuring they receive support alongside assisting his grandmother whenever possible.
In 2022, Chira catapulted to fame with the viral video “Witness,” where his eloquent English and engaging persona captivated audiences across social media platforms.
Inspired by this newfound surge of interest, Brian was motivated to concentrate on expanding his online footprint and engaging with a wider audience.
As an alumnus of Kabarak University, Chira pursued his studies there.
Opening up about his struggles with alcoholism during an interview with Oga Obinna, the content creator revealed how he grappled with the addiction following the loss of his guardian.
“I realized I was sinking into depression when I resorted to selling off my belongings for alcohol. Despite having a full house, the weight of stress became unbearable, and alcohol appeared to be the only solace,” he confided.
