YouTuber Thee Pluto raised eyebrows when he revealed that he moved to an apartment in Nairobi’s upscale Kilimani neighborhood where he is paying monthly rent in excess of Ksh100,000.
Thee Pluto, whose real name is Robert Ndegwa Kamau, opened up about his rent during an interactive Questions and Answers (Q&A) session with his fans on social media.
The YouTuber claimed that he pays an excess of Ksh.100, 000(USD1000) on monthly rent in Kilimani even though he already owns a house.
He also told his fans that he spends at least Ksh7,000 on a daily basis, the bulk of which, he added, was used on fueling his vehicles.
“Unakaa keja yako ama unarent?” Thee Pluto was asked.
To which he responded;
“I have a house but where I’m living now narent. Due to many CBD operations na kusave on fuel too.”
“How much do you pay for your house rent?” Another fan asked Thee Pluto.
“100,000+,” he replied.
“How much do you spend a day?” Curious fan asked the YouTuber.
He replied;
“I’m not a spendthrift. Maybe 7K a day. Of which 3K to 5K ni fuel san asana.”
However, another social media user who claims to be Thee Pluto’s neighbor in Juja blasted the YouTuber saying he lied that he stays in Kilimani and pays over Ksh100,000 in rent.
The woman claimed Thee Pluto is her neighbor in Juja where rent for a 3-bedroom apartment is Ksh32,000. But in a quick rejoinder, the YouTuber stressed that he moved from Juja to Kilimani long ago.
