The Rock gives a massive shout out to Kenyan rapper Stella Mwangi

3 mins read

Stella Mwangi has been pushing the envelope globally on the down-low without the hype, she’s all work and she lets her work speaks for itself rather than clout chase out of the same.

Stella Mwangi has traveled almost everywhere through her music and she even met up with Akon, Common and Wyclef Jean in France at the annual Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.

Stella Mwangi is making major moves that only other artistes can dream of.

The Rock who is pretty much known by every soul in the world just gave a massive shout out to the Kenyan rapper Stella Mwangi who is based in Norway for her song ‘No Games’ which was used in the latest Ballers series as a soundtrack and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was impressed by the rapper, especially the lyrics;

“Oh Lord look what I got though
No Dwayne but I Rock though!
Shout to bad ass rapper @stellamwangi for the dope lyrics – clearly, I’m biased 😉
#NoGames #FuckMolds #BreakEmThe Rock posted on the gram

This is not the first time Stella Mwangi’s songs have been used in movies and series’ soundtracks, her work has been featured on Teyana Taylor and Iman Shumpert’s reality TV series Teyana & Iman just to mention but a few which debuted in 2018 and matter of fact the same song ‘No Games’ was also used as the official Samsung’s Samsung Galaxy S9 Official TVC: Remix Your Everyday promo.

Stella Mwangi is making history not only in Kenya but globally and it’s only a matter of time before she works with an internationally acclaimed artiste just the way he surprised us by working with the talented Mohombi on the ‘Hula Hoop’ record back in 2011.
