Stivo Simple Boy lived in abject poverty even though he was making a lot of money while he was signed to his former management Made In Kibera (MIK).
However in April this year, Stivo dumped the old management that exploited him and is now being managed by MIB Africa.
The Kibera rapper lost a golden opportunity to work with Tanzanian superstar Harmonize after the old management MIK blocked that chance.
Speaking in a recent interview, Stivo Simple Boy revealed that Harmonize reached out to him after he became an internet sensation for his ‘Inauma but itabidi uzoee’ phrase.
Stivo regrets that the old management didn’t allow him to work with Harmonize even after the Tanzanian singer expressed interest.
He revealed that he missed another chance to work with Harmonize during his latest visit to Kenya when he cause a lot of drama with Eric Omondi after a subpar performance.
“When Harmonize recently came to Kenya, I went to the Captain’s Lounge, where he was set to perform. Despite me not having any plans to perform, my fans demanded for a performance. I brought the house down, shocking Harmonize in the process,” Stivo told Word Is.
However, Stivo says the drama that ensued when Harmonize’s refused to perform made things hard for him to have a chat with the Bongo star.
He is hopeful he will get a collaboration project real soon.
