Karen Nyamu has hinted at her plan to run for the governorship of Nairobi in the near future.

On Friday, the nominated senator posted a photo of himself outside the Nairobi governor’s office and attached a message indicating that she is looking to take over the post one day.

“Kanairo ipo siku! Habari ya asubuhi,” Karen Nyamu wrote.

Former Nairobi county governor Mike Sonko was among hundreds of netizens who commented on Karen Nyamu’s post.

Sonko took the opportunity to advise Nyamu, telling her that when it is time for her to contest, she should take her sweetheart Samuel Muchoki aka Samidoh as her running mate.

“Ndio, na Samidoh akuwe naibu wako ikue kanairo ya Mugithi,” Sonko wrote.

About five months ago, Sonko revealed that he was the one who connected Samidoh with Karen Nyamu.

The former governor claimed that he hooked up the two at a Mugithi Night event held in Dubai several years ago. Sonko was commenting on Nyamu’s Facebook post when he made the revelation.

“Mnafaa mniitie chai. Mimi ndio nilikupea Samidoh pale Dubai nikiwa na Moses Kuria wakati wa Mugithi night,” Sonko wrote.

Karen who currently has two children with Samidoh did not object to the statement and instead asked him not to reveal more.

“Mdosi malizia tu hapo usitoe video,” Karen Nyamu responded to Sonko.
