Stevo Simple Boy has made a public appeal to President William Ruto, requesting to be appointed to the Ministry of Gender, Culture, Arts, and National Heritage.
The rapper, known for his relatable music and identification as the “president of the weak,” expressed his eagerness to replace former Cabinet Secretary (CS) Aisha Jumwa.
Taking to Instagram, Stevo Simple Boy explained his motivation behind the request, stating his desire to advocate for and defend fellow artistes.
“I would like to convey a message to President William Ruto, you dismissed the entire cabinet. I, as the president of the weak, give me the title you had given to Aisha Jumwa. Get me to defend my fellow artists,” he urged.
President Ruto recently announced the dissolution of his cabinet on July 11, 2024, retaining only the powerful minister of foreign affairs, Musalia Mudavadi. This move has opened up various positions, leading to a flurry of interest from different quarters.
Among those expressing interest is businessman Jimal Rohosafi, who has voiced his desire to be appointed as the Minister of Roads and Transport, a position left vacant by Kipchumba Murkomen. Rohosafi, via Instagram, emphasized that either he or his colleague in the car selling business, Khalif Kairo, should fill the role.
As President Ruto prepares to appoint a new cabinet, he has called on the church and the nation to pray for wisdom in making these critical decisions. The anticipation builds as Kenyans await the announcement of the new ministers who will shape the country’s future.
