Simi has opened up about her daughter wanting to do music when she grows up for the first time.

Simi whose real name is Simisola Kosoko is married to yet another sensational, sought-after musician, Adenkule Gold. They got married in January 2019, they welcomed their first child together, a daughter named Adejare Kosoko, in June 2020.

Getting born in a music family, netizens understand why it’s only logical for Simi and Adekunle Gold’s daughter to indulge in music in the future.

The 33-year-old singer opened up in a live video the other day, speaking on how music, stardom and her experience as a parent have touched and/or changed her lifestyle and how she sees life nowadays.

Speaking on her daughter and what she might want to do. Simi says that she will be anxious if she decides to do music in the first place confessing that she will be in support of what she would want to do in the future.

Simi doesn’t want her child to be under pressure of surpassing her parents in the music industry since her parents are well-known musicians across the globe since she didn’t have that pressure coming up in the industry.

“Whatever she wants to do, I’ll be 150 percent in support. I’ll be very honest with you. I’ll be anxious if she decides to do music, only because I don’t want her to feel any kind of pressure.

I don’t want her thinking, because she is coming from parents that have decided to be this, so there’s a standard she has to meet.

People might be saying your parents have received me this and that. I never had to go through that.

It was me in competition with myself. That pressure of having parents that are musicians can have you under pressure.

I want her to be as original as possible without having to think she has to do anything like anyone else,” the ‘Duduke’ songstress said.

One of the most sought-after artistes today Simi opened up earlier on about the difficulties she had to go through when she was recording her hit song ‘Duduke’ while she was pregnant.

She recalled that the all process was harder than she had anticipated it would be because she was pregnant at the time. She disclosed that she was uninspired because her first trimester was really difficult.

Simi went further to add that music wasn’t one of her favorite things at that time which hurt her so much because, at the moment, she had renovated her recording studio.

“It was really hard because my first trimester was really difficult. I had pretty bad morning sickness and I was throwing up a lot. That was not the worst. The worst part for me is that I was very very uninspired.

Music wasn’t one of my favorite things at that time.

I didn’t want to record. And it really hurt me because I just renovated my studio, so I was really excited. I didn’t expect to feel like that I couldn’t record. I didn’t have energy,” she said earlier on.
