Scar deserves all the props coming his way for ‘Kovu Challenge’

Where Scar’s and Wakadinali’s career have reached today, doesn’t need any validations, cosigns even shout outs for their names to be out there, especially in the rap and hip hop scene.

It’s safe to say that Scar and Domani who have together put the name Wakadinali on a rap pedestal and escalated the Kenyan hip hop standards to a whole new level deserve every prop coming their way.

Their consistency and prolificness in the game are alluring in different angles.

For instance what Scar has done with his hit record, ‘Kovu’ which is Swahili word for Scar is unprecedented in the Kenyan music industry, especially the rap and hip hop scene today.

Scar real name Churchill Mandela released a record like no other in the Kenyan rap scene today which has seen most established and upcoming rappers jump in the studio to release their own version of ‘Kovu’ under the now-viral rap challenge dubbed ‘Kovu Challenge’.

The record ‘Kovu’ as officially released by Scar does not have any hook and/or any catchy repetitive phrases on it, just pure bars with unlimited verses from the start to the finish and shrewd witty delivery on his punch lines.

If there was a record that was to escalate Scar into the mainstream prominence is certainly this record and thanks to the numbers of views it has on YouTube alone, Scar has most certainly arrived in the mainstream music realm thanks to his dedication, hard work, never giving up, staying positive and being consistent in the super-competitive hip hop realm.

The ‘Kovu Challenge’ has seen established rappers like Katapilla, Khaligraph Jones, Hassan, Miss Cashy, Kforce, Shukid, Oksyde, Kevin Grands just to name a few, jump on the challenge to make a statement on how kickass a rapper they both are in the game and it’s one of the best rap challenges you will ever be proud of because most rappers if not all came with bars upon bars.

Thanks to Scar, the hip hop industry is challenging yet again and thus making the rap game great again! in so many levels.
