Sauti Sol’s Bienaime pays tribute to the late legend Mzee Ojwang and recalls how he impacted his life

For those who don’t know yet, Kenya’s Legend entertainer, Mzee Ojwang passed on yesterday at Kenya National Hospital at around 8 PM by succumbing to a long term illness.

A Moment of Silence…

He is one the pioneers if not the pioneer of Kenya comedy and he has been entertaining us since we can care to remember, heck! Everybody who is anybody in the Kenyan entertainment in regard to acting has their successful career thanks to Mzee Ojwang who paved the way for them.

We will all remember how Mzee Ojwang born in 1937 entertained us with joy and laughter because he is a true hero and will always be remembered and celebrated as such. Though he has left us this year in 2015, he will never leave us in our hearts and that’s why Sauti Sol’s Bienaime reminisces how he used to imitate him while he was a child and how positively he impacted his life to be who he is right now and this image tells a lot than any words can.

I remember doing your imitations to my family growing up and watching you at Shade Hotel in the 90s. You paved the way for an entire generation to entertain. You’re reward is in heaven. RIP YOUR EXCELLENCEY.”
