Sauti Sol gets commemorated by YouTube at Times Square billboard, New York

Sauti Sol is elated after they got commemorated in America for their great contribution to African music.

YouTube Music decided to go with Sauti Sol in advertising and championing for Black Voices globally using their curated hashtag, #YouTubeBlack to emphasize their campaign.

YouTube Music placed an ad in Times Square’s magnificent billboard showcasing Sauti Sol’s projects while advocating their #YouTubeBlack campaign.

This act of gesture from YouTube Music to honor and commemorate Sauti Sol makes the award-winning group the first East and Central Africa artistes, or group or otherwise to have their brand advertised and/or showcased in the famous Times Square billboard.

Sauti Sol’s hit song featured among top 10 most popular African songs of 2020

The Kenyan afro-pop band that comprises Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano, guitarist/ record producer Polycarp Otieno and Savara Mudigi took to social media to show their gratitude to YouTube Music for putting up their faces in New York, Times Square garden.

Sauti Sol has followed the footsteps of Nasty C, Shane Eagle, Wizkid, Burna Boy of having the honor of seeing their brand getting showcased at the great Times Square Spectacular digital billboard at 1540 Broadway.
