Samidoh meets up with ‘Firirinda’ hitmaker Dick Njoroge

Samidoh, the Kikuyu Mugithi singer has finally linked up with the legendary ‘Firirinda’ hitmaker.

The Firirinda hitmaker Dick Njoroge also known as Munyonyi has captured the attention of Kenyans after his hit record ‘Firirinda’ has instantly become an internet sensation overnight.

The song was released 35 years ago and now everybody wants a piece of the same. The song is actually amazing, it grows on you after listening to it often

The current Mugithi powerhouse, Samidoh who is also a police officer took to social media telling his fans about meeting his meeting up with him.

He didn’t disclose the intentions of his meet-up with him or gave any indication of working with him but fans were quick to suggest and request him to have a song with the veteran Mugithi singer who has over 35 studio albums.

“Firirinda hit maker…” he wrote on Instagram not giving any hints on what he’s up to.

Thanks to Jeff Kuria, a presenter at Inooro FM sharing the Kikuyu oldie song on his Facebook account, it has since blown up once again on social media and Kenyans everywhere can’t seem to get enough of it.

There are already Firirinda Challenges going on currently on social media and Kenyans can’t seem to get enough of the song despite it being 35 years old.

Murang’a, Kiambu, and Nyeri County Assemblies recently erupted into the ‘Firirinda’ dance challenge to celebrate the passing of the contentious BBI Bill.

Dick Njoroge alias Munyonyi now depends on well-wishers for upkeep as he cannot sing anymore after he lost his voice, he can play the guitar though.
