The Deputy President of the Republic of Kenya and Raila Odinga were seen together after a long time being seen together. A sight that has since shocked and surprised all Kenyans at large.

The Deputy President William Ruto and Raila Odinga were not on the same page for quite some time especially because of the political activities around the Building Bridges Initiatives(BBI) among many other things like allegations of corruption that saw the two politicians criticizing each other.

The two top politicians met at Jubilee Party Secretary-General Raphael Tuju’s house in Karen on March 20th, 2020 to pay him a visit following his return from his treatment in the UK. The Jubilee Secretary-General is currently recuperating in his house.

Raila Odinga and William Ruto who were brought together in the same spirit of wishing Raphael Tuju a quick recovery at his Karen House followed the national directive of not shaking hands but instead greeted each other like most Indians do, closed hands accompanied by a bow.

The last time Raila and Ruto met was in November last year during the launch of the BBI report.
