“Sitaki vijana. Nataka mzee” Ruth Matete describes her ideal man as she seeks to get married again

Ruth Matete has indicated that she is ripe for marriage again two years after she lost her Nigerian husband John Olakami Apewajoye in a tragic accident.

The Gospel singer and 2012 Tusker Project Fame winner is really looking forward to being married again she even described the kind of man she wants.

Speaking during an interview with a local publication, Matete said stated that she is looking for a mature man because she is also not young.

“Sitaki vijana. Nataka mzee. I am not a child bwana. I will be 37 next year. So I need someone who understands unajua umekuja kufanya nini,” she said.

“So I’m waiting for a man to come and tell me Pastor when I think about you. At my age, do you think I will start thinking about it? No, it’s when is the wedding, but I’m single. These two years, I had told myself I would give myself about two years before I can now think about being with another man,” she added.

Matete lost her husband just five months into her wedding in a tragic accident on April 11th, 2020.

Her late husband died from injuries he sustained after a fire accident at their home. He suffered burn injuries after a gas cylinder exploded.

Matete’s husband was admitted to Kenyatta National Hospital for two weeks before he succumbed to fire-related injuries while undergoing treatment.
