Ringtone has revealed that he had an ambition of marrying an aged Caucasian granny in a bid to unshackle himself from the chains of poverty.
The controversial gospel singer opened up about his past life in a candid interview with Joyce Omondi on Switch TV.
Ringtone revealed that he was born in abject poverty and that he thought that his one-way ticket out of penury was to get married to a rich mzungu granny.
“I had dreams of becoming a successful person in life. Nlikua nataka nkue mdosi, sonko niendeshe the good cars, I live a good life.
Nilikuwa nataka kuishi kwa nyumba iko cemented, I was born in a muddy house, I didn’t grow up with shoes. Nilikuwa nataka niishi life ntakua navaa viatu kali. Nlikua natafuta venye naweza achieve hizi vitu. Sikuzaliwa mahali naweza panda ndege, nkizaliwa sikuona babangu, sikuona mamangu. So I wanted a life,” said Ringtone.
The gospel singer revealed that he traveled to Mombasa because he heard that the coastal city is a hotbed of Caucasian cougars.
“Nlijipata nko Mombasa nimeenda kutafuta good life, ju nliambiwa Mombasa kunakuanga na nyanya wazungu matourists wanakamingi huko and they marry young African men,” said Ringtone.

Ringtone however didn’t manage to get a white cougar he was looking for, this after he met a man who convinced him to accept Jesus Christ in his life and eventually ended up as a gospel singer instead of being a gigolo.
